Diary of An Indian Princess

Sweet dreams my little child may you sleep and rest
May angels guard and keep you in ways that they know best
May you dream of sugar fairies in a land with sweet delight
May you sleep in quiet peace as you slumber through the night.

:) Come take me away, Mr Sandman.

'Everlasting Love'- Jamie Cullum
Hearts gone astray, deep in her when they go.
I went away just when you needed me so.
You won't regret, I'll come back begging you. (mmm)
Won't you forget, welcome the love we once knew.

Open up your eyes, then you realise.
Here I stand with my everlasting love.
Need you by my side.
Girl to be my pride.
Never be denied everlasting love.... oh...

Hearts gone astray deep in hurt when they go.
I went away just when you needed me so.
You wont regret I'll come back begging you.
Wont you forget, welcome love we once knew.

Open up your eyes, then you'll realise.
Here I stand with my everlasting love
Need you by my side.
Girl to be my pride.
Never be denied everlasting love.

From the very start open up your heart, feel that you've fall in,
Everlasting love......

need a love to last forever.
need a love to last forever.
need a love to last forever.
need a love to last forever.........
I need a love to last forever

The surprise that worked.

Pritish's actual surprise 21st birthday party was last Saturday over at Huren's uncle's 'house'.. I got a lift from Neela..my first! And I was the first non-family member to be driven by Neela..yay! Here she is..

I survived!! (Juz kidding. ;) )

Neela was decor woman for the day. Yes. She is a girl of many talents. She not only drives. She also blows...balloons!

Yes, so enough about her.. :p

The birthday boy says he was truly taken by surprise this time..

He was all smiles. :)

Its spring cleaning time at home again- the time when I start fearing for my old diaries I keep hidden away in the deep recesses of the bottom shelf of my cupboard. So with great foresight, I lugged the 2 remaining ones- one from JC and one from the 6 months before Uni started, over to hall...so I could decide on means of disposing of them. I think my diaries would make pretty juicy reads...I am quite shocked at half the things I've written..they are good memories, but whoever chances upon them is going to have a hell of a laugh. And a few surprises. At my expense. Sheesh-kebab...there are a couple photos of a past crush pasted in one of them. *gasp*

I'm never good at keeping diaries...it nevers lasts past a few months at a time. I kinda always think I couldn't possibly forget all the important things that happen to me..but even for those, it's surprising how you forget the exact way you were feeling at that particular moment, and what you were thinking. Reading my entries always makes me laugh..which is why I have half a heart not to destroy all traces of it..but I still need a safe way of keeping it. *pout*

Today I let someone who appeared frequently in some of the entries, read my diary. Haha. I think he was pretty amused.. Was he? :)

And also today- history repeats itself. I scared a boy into letting me read his diary by crying. *grinz* I do not feel any guilt whatsoever.

These days i hear Mary Alice or Carrie Bradshaw giving voiceover comments in my head whenever I find myself in dramatic life situations..

Today, as I started on my long walk back to hall, below the streetlights, Mary Alice popped up for a Desperate Housewives episode conclusion- 'As she walked away, she knew for once, deep down inside her heart, that it was all over.' Doesn't that just sound like it. ;) The repercussions of watching too much TV.

La douleur exquise
'His hello was the end of her endings,
Her laugh was their first step down the aisle.
His hand would be hers to hold forever,
His forever was as simple as her smile.

He said she was what was missing-
She said instantly she knew,
She was a question to be answered,
And his answer was 'I do'.'

In a city of infinite options, sometimes there's no better feeling than knowing you only have one.

6 days, and counting. ;) All the best!

The Ultimate Sin
Today Neela and I had a hot date with a man who knows how to keep women all over the world happy. I kid you not. Max Brenner's is amazing. On our first time, we were fondue virgins but were quickly inducted into the pleasures of warm liquid chocolate- white, milk, dark..all of it, melting over a romantic tealight. I tell you- the aroma in that place is simply intense... And we couldn't get enough of it. For our second course, we had Belgian waffles. Like no waffle had ever been made before.

But today was different. We didn't have a raving craving. So we decided to settle for some suckao. Yea you heard it, suckao.

Introducing to you the suckao, with a little chiapas on the side (white chocolate ganache and strawberries.)

So here's how you do it:

First you pour the milk in. Ooh...warm. Then you add the chocolate chips...(but the word chocolate chip does not do justice to the way it tastes!)

And then you stir it, to melt in the chocolate.

Then of 'cos, the best part - slurping it all in. Aah...all warm and happy. ;)

What is LOVE?
The question asked time and again.
By people who think they've felt it, and then wonder if they ever did.
The question the boy beside me asks before he futher proceeds to stiffle his tears and runs out halfway when he can't.
Some wonder with bitterness, some in wonder.
Some are certain they've finally found it. Bliss.

But maybe the best people to answer this age-old mystery are those unblemished by expectations. Those who are pure of heart and can see love for all that it truly is.

What is love?

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint hertoenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friendseven after they know each other so well." Tommy - age 6

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he ishandsomer than Robert Redford." Chris - age 7

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7 (Wow.)

And a special one for Joey:
"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars comeout of you." Karen - age 7
Well, just maybe not stars...cartoon hearts...cartoon hearts.. haha!

And the final one --
Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about acontest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman
who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard,
climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor,
the little boy said,"Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Everybody meet Pritish the Kenyan...no, not British...Pritish! He thinks that Kenyan guys are way more manly than the ones we get down here. So we decided to put him to the test on his birthday. And no, I do not know what has happened to his face. Maybe he lost it in a MANly fight. Or maybe not.

Every manly man has his very own female entourage...which for this day, consisted of the very privileged Susan and Mo. Every step he took put us in awe.

*swoon*

Neela won Susan in a catfight...so she got to hold his hand too.

The moment of reckoning...

Will our man of the day survive the reverse bungee? Look out soon for an uploaded video clip. ;)

Happy 21st Pritish!!

Well yes, Pritish turned 21 on Saturday...but we hustled him off right after CAs on Friday for an early celebration. Was first lunch at Pizza Hut, but at the spur of the moment we decided to send him up on the reverse bungee. So we bindfolded the guy from Clarke Quay and battled the blazing sun, and the straggling curious onlookers till we got to the ride..unfortunately the guy kinda guessed by then...there are only that many things you can do for one's birthday in Singapore.. Since it was a 3-seater, Neela and I got to go along too! Wheeee!! With our tix very kindly (*cough cough*) subsidized. My god! It was really good though pretty short, for the pretty steep price...probably barely 3 min...but its really scary when you get thrown upside down. Then you kinda get suspended right at the top for a while...and the view up there's really amazing, over the river and all the buildings..yup..that was my favourite part. Ok, the going up bit too. Haha. It was really fun though!

So after that Pritish treated us to drinks at Brewerkz. Dear non-alcoholic Huey got a mocktail. Called pussyfoot. :D And we learnt that seemingly nice little boy Jai only goes for the really hard stuff. Also, I finally got to try my Cosmo. And so ended our day.

(I think the guys were pretty disappointed at not being able to have dinner at Hooters' as they'd planned. Or at least Huey must have been. :p)

~

P.S. Did I mention that Neela had sex on the beach? Tsk tsk. Naughty naughty girl.

He-who-does-not-want-his-photo-splashed-on-my-blog.

Exams are over for now, and it's time to get back to being evil. Time to play more pranks..time to get back into business. And time to traumatize more people. Where is the excitement in life if you just leave poeple to be.. It's ok.. even if you don't go looking for trouble, the trouble will sure come looking for you! Yoo-hoooo.

For starters, I managed to finally find a useable picture of he-who-does-not-want-his-photo-splashed-on-my-blog. NUS has its Grinning Gecko...but NDU had its very own Grinning Idiot until of 'cos..he managed to go something idiotic..like dislocate his shoulder while putting on a bag. (juz kidding!) Here, he makes an appearance with his latest girlfriend- TK girl!! Ooooh. K, k enough of making Seri all jealous. :)

I see he has a foot fetish.
but jokes aside, here is the true love-of-his-life..

An obnoxious, precocious brat, might I add.

Cheers to you, you paedo. ;)

'I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day
I had so much to accomplish
that i didn't have the time to pray

Problems just tumbled about me
and heavier came each task
"Why doesn't God Help? I wondered.
He answered, "You Didn't Ask!"

I wanted to have joy and beauty
but the day toiled on, gray and bleak.
I wondered why God didn't show me,
He said "But you didn't seek"

I tried to come into Gods presence
I used all my keys at the lock
God gently and lovingly chided
"My child you didn't knock"

I woke up early this morning
and paused before entering the day
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take
time to pray..'

God Bless you!
